I sometimes wish my life were more exciting than it is...then something exciting happens and I wish my life were back to 'normal,' whatever that means. I'm not saying anything especially exiting happened this weekend, but I wished it had....

is going to Panera exciting? How about holding a garage sale? That is about all the excitement I've had. My characters, on the other had, have very exciting lives!
I heard a sermon once that said that the greatest stumbling block to our daily lives is the "routine of life" we are always waiting for something different or more exciting to happen so that we don't enjoy today to the fullest. Sort of like the Isralites with the manna...and wanting meat... boy did they get meat... quail until it was coming out of their nose. :) I don't know why we are like that...I find myself also looking around the corner of life to see what is coming up...and sort of disappointed when it is the same old same old, then something happens and I desire the calm routine of my life. We are just a weird bunch of people aren't we?

My exciting weekend consisted of my 2 1/2 year old going poo poo in the potty for the first time! Well, at least I got ice cream out of the deal! (We had promised Elise 2 treats if she pooped in the potty.)
