So, yesterday was one of the first warm days of the year, and I decided to celebrate by driving home with my windows rolled down. As I'm driving down the freeway, at lightning speed, I might add, I see something fly in the car. You may know - I hate flying bugs, and this one ended up right on my dashboard. My heart begins to race as I see yellow stripes on its body - it was a bee, and it was big and it was right in front of me - staring at me. Of course, I'm wearing a bright red shirt that, to a bee, may look like a tasty flower... I "calmly" exited the freeway, and found the first place that I could to pull over and get OUT of the car! Now, you may ask why didn't I just squish it? My fear was that I wouldn't kill it, but just make it mad, and then he'd sting me - so in my ever present wisdom, I grabbed my snow scraper and began to swing at it from the outside the passenger side window. I was looking at him through the windshield, and wasn't making much progress. So, I started throwing things at him - he eventually looked like he was going to fly somewhere, so I ran to the front of the car. He flew onto by passenger side mirror, and I made my move. I rolled up all the windows, and turned on the AC......its much safer that way. I wonder what the people whose house I stopped in front of were thinking....

A bee in the car is never a good situation. Way to be safe and exit the freeway!
so, did i ever tell you about my first visit to a ghanaian beehive? yeah, the bees were very interested in defending their honey... and i made a very undignified and hasty retreat. So we are both fighting bees on either side of the world! i feel so much closer to you!
I'm laughing so hard that I'm crying and my tummy hurts!! Aimee, I miss you and the life and smiles you bring to me!
